“ Rad vibes, musicians playing every hour. Excellent drinks. It feels cozy and comfortable and makes you want to spend hours chatting with a friend or reading as you drink something warm and caffeinated. ”
“ We love this little Cafe in Mile End. Live music most of the day, coffee is hot and freshly made to order and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend the carrot cake ”
“ It's a lovely hangout and enjoyable atmosphere although I have to say that the music is pretty loud. I enjoy live music but it's hard to have a casual brunch and chat with a musician desperately trying to make a good performance. ”
“ A cafe unlike any others in the area, le Depanneur hosts live music amidst a cozy environment for patrons of all ages to assemble and enjoy wonderful musicians, lovely art, and an all-around comfortable energy. A space for working, creating, grabbing a bite to eat or for just catching up with friends, this cafe's got it all! Loved my experience here and will surely be making this a regular spot for me in the neighborhood ”
“ I cannot believe I have never been to this cafe before! The sandwich they make is so amazing! I loved it. Simple, delicious and inexpensive. It’s absolutely a place you have to go if you felt like most fancy cafes these days are just a hype... this place is just humbly charming. Live music with the love and support to local artists is also such a heartwarming uniqueness of the cafe. I cannot wait to go back ”
“ I visited Le Depanneur Cafe several times during the fall months of 2024, and each visit was a delightful experience! One of the highlights was catching their live music performances during the day. The music added such a special touch—not only to my time at the cafe but to my entire day. It’s such a unique and enjoyable atmosphere that sets this place apart from your average cafe. As for the food and drinks, I consistently ordered their latte and carrot cake, and I was never disappointed. The quality was excellent, and both paired perfectly with the cozy, artsy vibe of the place. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. Le Depanneur Cafe offers a great experience that you won’t regret. It’s a gem that combines good coffee, tasty treats, and live music—what more could you ask for? Definitely worth a visit! ”
“ A really sweet and charming place. They have live music pretty much all the time. The diversity of the boissons menu is good. Food looked good too. The bathrooms aren't that clear since I almost go into the staff door and the server looked at me a little mad. The place has a beautiful outside deck too. They also have books that are really interesting, like "S*** my dad says" ”
“ Now this is a quintessential cafe in my book. I want to say it’s the best I’ve ever been in (of many hundreds) but that might just be enthusiasm of several good visits talking. Firstly, it’s both spacious and cozy, red brick walls mixed with couches, tables, stand up bar as well as a back room that feels more private but is more for noisier chatting. In the main room is, quite unbelievably, is live music every single day between 10-5pm which sends this cafe into another category of shared social spaces entirely. It is successful as a space to sit and read quietly, chat with a friend or listen to rather chill live music. The menu is small but good and coffee is great and always improving. Can’t give it a better review. And! Many of the patrons actually have books with them which is heart warming to see. ”
